This workshop presents two machine appliqué techniques that are so easy to achieve they'll throw open the doors for you to new levels of creativity in your quilting.

• The first technique enables you to create dynamic backgrounds quickly and easily. Pick a favorite shape, 'sandwich' two pieces of fabric together and the fun begins.
• Second, learn how to make and use these delighful quilt 'sandwiches' as colorful, foreground elements to add depth and interest to your quilted backdrop.

Demonstrations on how to use machine couching in new ways and with new materials will be presented. You'll walk away from our day with an exciting new work underway -- perhaps even completed!
