There are many activities available to members at the monthly meetings, and throughout the year. At each meeting, tables are set up with opportunities to participate.
Each year, a new team chooses an idea for block of the month for the year. A sample of the block may also be on display. You are encouraged to make a block and turn it in at the next meeting. For each block turned in, you typically receive one chance in a drawing to win the blocks.
At each meeting, members bring projects that they have completed to show everyone. Some projects are their own inspiration, others are from workshops sponsored by the guild, and still others are from other classes they have taken.
The guild newletter is published once a month. It features a note from the guild president and information about activities coming un in the next month. It also includes the list of guild officers, minutes of the past general meeting and board meeting for those who might have missed the meeting, along with other tidbits of interest. There's also a reminder for the birthday girls for the next month to bring a "gift" for the monthly drawing table.
Every year, guild members participate in the making of our raffle quilt, which is a major fund-raiser for the guild. The Design and Construct committee chooses a pattern and enlists members to help in the making of the quilt. The new opportunity quilt is revealed at the June meeting each year and the past year's quilt is raffled.
A number of various forms are used by the guild to collect information or request reimbursement for guild expenses. Here is where you'll find all the forms.
Many websites offer information about machines and products we use in quilting. We've attempted to put together those of interest to our members on the Links page.
