Thom Atkins, Bead Embroidery for Quilters

We will take a look at beads, their shapes, varieties of finishes, and their use on quilts to create texture and color changes in the surface. We will learn the basic stitches for applying beads, and what they do to the surface of the quilt, and how the application of beads quilts the surface. This is a process class. The student should have some prior knowledge of hand sewing and hand quilting.
