There are many activities available to members at the monthly meetings, and throughout the year. At each meeting, tables are set up with opportunities to participate.
In past years, a new team chose an idea for block of the month for the year. A sample of the block was often on display. Members were encouraged to make each block and produce their own quilt.
At each meeting, members bring projects that they have completed to show everyone. Some projects are their own inspiration, others are from workshops sponsored by the guild, and still others are from other classes members have taken.
The guild newletter is published once a month. It features a note from the guild president and information about activities coming un in the next month. It also includes the list of guild officers, minutes of the past general meeting and board meeting for those who might have missed the meeting, along with other tidbits of interest. There's also a reminder for the birthday girls for the next month to bring a "gift" for the monthly drawing table.
In past years, guild members participated in the making of a raffle quilt, which was a major fund-raiser for the guild. The Design and Construct committee chose a pattern and enlisted members to help in the making of the quilt. The new opportunity quilt wass revealed at the June meeting each year and the past year's quilt was raffled.
