Special Events and Activities
Periodically the guild conducts a special event or activity for members and guests to enjoy.
Quilts for Fire Victims
One special event in March 2008 was the presentation of quilts to 6 families who lost their Fallbrook homes to the fires in October 2007. Muna Elias, new guild member, presented quilts to fire victims made by her quilting group from the San Francisco Bay area.

Blue Light Special
Another special event in March was a "Blue Light Special", conceived by our president, Carol Carpenter. The guild had obtained fabric from a fabric rep who was relocating out of the area. He had samples of upholstery and other types of fabrics which we purchased very cheaply.
Carol challenged us to make something from the fabric samples and enter it in a contest she called the "Blue Light Special". Members would vote on the items made from the fabric and the top three winners would receive a prize of a gift certificate from Quilter's Cottage.

Quilt Till You Wilt
As a celebration of National Quilting Day on March 15th, the guild sponsored a "Quilt Till You Wilt" day at the Fallbrook Community Center.
